Officials Close the Dugout for Oversize New Year’s Eve Party | Eater Chicago

"After Chicago officials shut down an over-capacity New Year’s Eve party, police and fire departments closed a large gathering at the Dugout and ordered the sports bar at 950 W. Addison Street closed until further notice while the Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection considers citations or a long-term closure. This wasn’t the Dugout’s first enforcement issue: in August a recorded video showed customers inside ignoring social distancing and mask rules past the city's closing time, and Wrigleyville residents say the bar routinely ignored COVID-19 restrictions over the summer by serving customers indoors after bans and not requiring facial coverings." - Naomi Waxman
