"I see that a national chain, Duck Donuts, is arriving in the Twin Cities and will open at 7455 Currell Boulevard in early December. Founded in Duck, North Carolina (now based in Pennsylvania) with upwards of 70 locations, the concept focuses on made-to-order vanilla cake doughnuts that are dropped into hot grease and cooked until tanned and crusty, then bedazzled with an array of glazes — chocolate, vanilla, blueberry, raspberry, and peanut butter — and unlimited toppings and drizzles like rainbow sprinkles, graham cracker crumbs, Oreos, hot fudge, and salted caramel.
