"Situated atop Life House’s Little Havana hotel at 528 SW 9th Avenue, Terras debuts as the neighborhood’s only rooftop bar and eatery, offering tropical-inspired decor, enviable Miami views, and a 3,160-square-foot space designed by Life House’s in-house team led by Jenny Bukovec with tropical foliage, vintage twinkle lights, and plenty of seating. The kitchen, open daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., serves shareable, Latin American street food–influenced dishes developed by executive chef Harry Capacetti (who also oversees the kitchen at Mama Joon at Life House’s Collins Park), from breakfast items like an over-easy egg sandwich and avocado toast to vegetarian- and vegan-friendly plates such as squash salad, black bean and queso dip, and green plantain fritters, as well as carnivore-friendly options like chicken tacos topped with mole and make-your-own barbacoa tacos. Cocktails—many using ingredients from the rooftop’s on-site garden—included tropical mixes like the Mezcalyfan (mezcal, rum, pineapple) and the Furiosa (tequila, Aperol, falernum, lime, hellfire bitters); there is also a wine program featuring vintages from Spain and Latin America and a rotating list of local beers. The venue plans a music program and semi-regular events; for more information call 866-466-7534." - Olee Fowler
