"Expanded to a second Arboretum location at 10000 Research Boulevard, Building C (opened March 29 for takeout, delivery, and dine-in), this Italian-American restaurant brings its signature menu — including a 12-layer lasagna, meatballs, fresh mozzarella, a variety of pastas and cannolis — to North Austin. The new spot mirrors the South Austin dining room with outdoor seating and private dining, and is overseen by executive chef Wade Guice, who joined the team in 2019 after running the ATX Boudain Hut food truck; former wine director Gina Scott serves as general manager of the Arboretum location. Owners Dan and Donna Wilkins originally opened the business in 2015 in a space formerly occupied by Umami Mia and Romeo and completed a physical and menu revamp in 2017; with two locations they launched Veneto Hospitality, Inc., promoting chef Bryan Cromwell to chief operations officer and former general manager Emily O’Connor to chief management officer.
