"Opening mid-March at the foot of the Apollo apartments (600 H Street NE), this will be the sixth area gelato and coffee shop from the local brand, offering the usual 20-flavor gelato menu, pastries from Pluma Bakery, and coffee from Unido, plus a new soft-serve option with two rotating flavors. The opening will feature creamy new flavors of pistachio, made locally with stone-milled pistachio butter, and dulce de leche as a nod to co-founder Violeta Edelman’s Argentine background; additional soft-serve flavors coming soon include lemon meringue, sambayon (an Italian custard popularized in Argentina), and single-origin chocolate.
