"The only drive-in restaurant remaining in Chicago is also an iconic institution. Maurie and Flaurie — two gigantic hot dog statues atop Superdawg — invite customers in for a retro experience. The menu offers burgers, sausages, and fried delights; the namesake Superdawg, a Chicago-style hot dog served with crinkle-cut fries, is the move here. Staff bring the food out to the cars (there’s an indoor dining room as well) so it’s worth a visit just for the novelty. There’s a second location in Wheeling." - Jeffy Mai
