"A long-running bowling alley that is described as one of the oldest in the country and part of the larger complex that originally began as a bowling alley in 1946 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It was included in a roughly $1.2 million renovation of the buildings two years ago. Like other indoor entertainment businesses, it was shut during the pandemic and later allowed to reopen under restricted-capacity rules and mask requirements, but proprietors say the limited capacities, talent-booking challenges, and high fixed costs make a financially sustainable reopening difficult." - Brenna Houck
