"A popular Home Park restaurant and Georgia Tech student hangout is temporarily closed after a small electrical fire on Monday evening. The blaze began around 6:30 p.m. in an electrical box near the front; firefighters arrived quickly as smoke rose from the roof, staff and patrons were evacuated, the fire was extinguished rapidly, no injuries were reported, and damage was contained to the area around the electrical box. A statement posted to the restaurant’s social media and website says repairs are underway and it could be back up and running “very soon.” Opened in 1996, the v-shaped building sits at the corner of Hemphill Avenue and McMillan Street, just north of 10th Street on the northern edge of the Georgia Tech campus." - Beth McKibben
