"Chulita is a modern Mexican restaurant from owner Shireen Imani, located in the former Superba Snack Bar space on Rose Avenue. The restaurant features a menu run by Alex Silva and Vanessa Salas, offering Mexico City-style botanas y mezcales, or drinking food with spirits, in a sunny Tulum-esque ambience. The menu includes dishes such as mushroom chorizo tostadas, barbacoa chilaquiles, quesadilla de calabaza, pescado zarandeado with black cod, and grilled skirt steak with refried sunshoke and black garlic salsa. Meredith Hayman curates the mostly tequila and mezcal-oriented cocktail menu. Currently, Chulita operates in the evenings only." - Matthew Kang
