"As one of Chicago’s most popular attractions, the Willis Tower has been undergoing a major revamp since 2018 — a roughly $500 million investment that Blackstone and EQ Office now market as Catalog — intended to remake food and beverage offerings and better capture the roughly 12 million people who pass by each year. I’ve observed that additions have come in phases (Shake Shack and the Jollibee/Rick Bayless combo Tortazo are examples), larger projects like an Urbanspace food hall on the second floor were delayed by pandemic-related issues, and the building’s SkyDeck visitors and owner-provided demographic data are being eyed to inform menu development for incoming concepts." - Ashok Selvam
