"James Beard Award-winning chef Terry Koval of The Deer and The Dove and his wife Jenn opened a wine bar in downtown Decatur in March, and it’s quickly becoming a neighborhood hang. As the name suggests, the bar has a tight wine and amaro program helmed by Matt Watkins, behind the beverage program at The Deer and The Dove. Atlanta’s coffee aficionado, Eugene Buchko, reports Fawn has one of the best new espresso martinis in the city, made with four different types of amaro. Sharable small and larger plates include dry-aged charcoal-grilled market fish, wild shrimp poached in cardamom caviar butter, and island clams with tuna.
