"A Florida-based casual chain is opening a location in The Domain at 3309 Esperanza Crossing in Austin that recreates the hawker-center experience with Southeast Asian street-food flavors. The menu spans roti canai, bao filled with Chinese barbecue pork, Seoul-style hot chicken and Korean fried chicken wings, skewered meats, green papaya salads, curries, fried rice and a wide array of noodles (pad Thai, Singapore-style mei fun, Sichuan dan dan), as well as curry laksa and desserts like banana spring rolls and doughnuts; there’s also a kids’ menu featuring bulgogi and cheesy roti. The pan-Asian cocktail list includes a pandan old fashioned (pandan-coconut syrup), a chai-infused G-n-Tea, and a Viet-spresso made with Vietnamese coffee and coconut rum, while nonalcoholic options range from Thai iced tea and Vietnamese coffee to lemonades and sodas. Founded in 2011 in Winter Haven and based in Orlando, the concept was developed by a team with Malaysian, Chinese/Vietnamese, and Hong Kong roots and now operates across multiple states; the new Austin buildout begins in June and runs through year-end, with an opening expected in early 2025.
