"D16 Lounge & Bar, located in a subterranean space at 955 Boylston Street in Back Bay below the sports bar and restaurant Dillon’s. The new spot will open on Wednesday, November 20, according to a representative for the bar’s owners, Glynn Hospitality Group (Dillon’s, the Black Rose, Granary Tavern). The swanky cocktail bar is named after Division 16 of the Boston Police Department, which operated out of the address from 1887 to 1976. Snack on scallops and bacon, pork belly bao, and tuna crudo while sipping cocktails like the Jail Bird (rum, Campari, lime, blistered red chili, and pineapple), and Code 99 (a smoky gin sour with elderflower). D16 will be open from Wednesday through Saturday, 5 p.m. to 1 a.m." - Erika Adams
