Coffee shop · Queen Village
Used to go here everyday for my coffee when I lived around the corner. Chill vibe, great coffee, tables to hangout.
Grocery store · Washington Square West
Figured Id mark the closest whole foods. Full hot and cold food bar. Parking garage at the top of the builing so no worries when it comes to street parking.
Permanently Closed
A 'natural foods' store from 1969, before organic was trendy and kale was considered edible. It's a great place to pick up staple fresh groceries, as well as niche limited diet and imported foods (they have some korean food and snacks here :] ) The dine in cafe is not open during covid times. However, it does still have a grab and go prepared foods section still.
Korean barbecue restaurant · Melrose Park Gardens
I had my last birthday dinner here! :] A bit of a hike but so worth the trip. If it was closer id be there all the time. Also right next to a giant H-Mart / Paris Baguette if you need to stock up on home comfort snacks and such.
Italian restaurant · Queen Village
Awesome homemade pasta. Took my Italian father and grandparents here and they wholeheartedly approved! I swear it's as good as my Grandma's homecooking. Friendly staff. Small restaurant that may need a reservation, BYOB, cash only.
Market · Center City East
Highly recommend Bieler's, Pennsylvania Dutch bakery inside the market. Their donut selection is just too damn good. Tons of other great food stalls and shops to try. This place is the only reason Philadelphian's dont hate jury duty (a block away lol) 'Reading Terminal Market. One of America’s largest and oldest public markets, housed since 1893 in a National Historic Landmark building, the Market offers an incredible selection of locally grown & exotic produce, locally sourced meats and poultry, plus the finest seafood, cheeses, baked goods, and confections.'
Bar · Fishtown
Great selection of draft craft beers, local, imported etc. Lots of arcade games of all types to play with friends.
