"In southwest Detroit I found Green Dot Stables serving Motor City tradition in slider form: the standout Coney Dog Slider comes with venison chili, mustard, and onions on a mini bun, alongside corned beef, falafel, and gyro sliders and a rotating “Mystery Meat” that has ranged from wild boar to camel; owner Jacques Driscoll says he opened the spot in 2011 to keep everything small and affordable, the menu even uses local lingo (“pop” not soda), and the building’s horse-racing past is still celebrated at Derby Day parties." - Wendy Pramik
