"When focaccia smells so good that we sprint to the nearest bench to bite off huge chunks, just know it’s pretty special. And the mammoth focaccia slice you'll find at this in-and-out takeaway bakery off Portobello Road is excellent. But it’s not even the best thing we've had at Buns From Home. They specialise in croissant buns, essentially double-baked, layered croissant dough with a range of flavours that includes cinnamon and cardamom. They also do savoury ones topped with avocado or pulled chicken and dessert buns, filled with custard cream, tiramisu, cheesecake, or whichever special happens to be on when you're there. Focus your efforts on the dessert buns—just make sure you get there with plenty of time to spare as they tend to sell out." - Rianne Shlebak
