Shoyu Sugar Hawaiian BBQ - Review - Anderson Mill - Austin - The Infatuation

"Short of booking a flight to Oahu, the closest (and cheapest) way to get a little taste of Hawai’i is by going to Shoyu Sugar. This food trailer is located in a big lot near Anderson Mill and 183 with tons of parking and a few picnic tables out front—there’s not a ton of atmosphere, but you’re here for the food. The menu is small and simple, offering a few Hawaiian classics, like chicken katsu, BBQ short ribs, and (Korean) fried chicken. Everything comes with rice, and the portions are more than generous—we’re usually full from a “mini” for less than $10. You’ll also find weekly specials, like loco moco and furikake salmon, but check their website before heading out.
