"The team behind already nailed the whole old-timey nautical absinthe bar thing, and now they’re going disco. To be clear, Tigre isn’t actually a disco-themed spot, but, with its gold walls and extensively mirrored bathrooms, this LES bar does look like a place where you'd party with Rod Stewart circa 1979. Don’t expect dancing—there isn’t any standing room—but do expect obsessively constructed signature drinks and ice-cold martinis that range from reasonably strong to mostly just gin. Make a reservation if you want to guarantee yourself a seat in the dark, loungy room, and keep in mind there’s an hour-and-half time limit." - Bryan Kim
