"Although San Antonio and Houston love to claim that Austin's trendy dining scene doesn’t know how to do Tex-Mex correctly, unassuming neighborhood joints like Jardin Corona prove otherwise. There’s nothing hip or cool about this restaurant, and that’s what makes it great. People come here for huge plates of cheesy enchiladas, crunchy tacos filled with seasoned beef, and queso, but we especially love their deep-fried, forearm-sized chimichangas. Even the most committed naysayer will understand why Tex-Mex is so beloved after eating these dishes alongside one of Jardin Corona’s strong frozen margaritas or a longneck of Mexican beer." - Taylor Tobin
