La Mayordomía Review - Historic South Central - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"This market and eatery in South LA is Expresión Oaxaqueña’s sister location and sells a wide selection of Oaxacan chocolate, meats, imported cheeses, baked goods, and produce. The shop’s long pastry case is enough to keep us transfixed for ten minutes, but their food is equally terrific. While both the tlayuda tortilla and bean paste are the same as the ones found at Expresión Oaxaqueña, La Mayordomía offers the option to add chapulines (a.k.a. fried grasshoppers) and minced moronga that’s crispy around the edges. photo credit: Andrea D'Agosto" - Sylvio Martins
