"In the process of adding a rating and food rundown to our review for Sylla, an excellent Ivorian restaurant in East Harlem, we recently tried their APF—short for Attieke Poisson Fumé. At a restaurant where we inevitably “accidentally” order enough for leftovers, there wasn’t a morsel of the fat grilled mackerel left to take home. The fish is perfectly cooked: shiny, crackling blue skin and flaky flesh. It comes with a pile of vinegared onions and a big plate of attieke, the couscous-like dish made of fermented cassava root. A Maggi seasoning cube on the side is a nice though superfluous touch—this dish is packed with flavor." - bryan kim, molly fitzpatrick, willa moore, will hartman, sonal shah, willa moore, sonal shah, molly fitzpatrick, willa moore, sonal shah, bryan kim, molly fitzpatrick, sonal shah, will hartman, willa moore, bryan kim, molly fitzpatrick, will hartman, sonal shah, bryan kim, will hartman
