"Swapping beer towers for bottles of Bordeaux, Yoon Haeundae Galbi is one of the more upscale KBBQ options around Koreatown, and it’s perfect for a group meal that isn’t too hectic. The double-decker spot has leather-padded banquettes, gentle mood lighting creeping up the walls, and sets of beef and pork starting around $150. Like its sister restaurant founded by the owner’s grandfather in Busan, Korea, the place specializes in short rib—and even the non-marinated version is lush and flavorful, with a bouncy feel thanks to all the fat.
