"Ever wondered what it would be like to eat some oysters on the set of A Midsummer Night’s Dream? Well, you’re about to find out. Hello Darling in Waterloo is a couple of doors down from The Old Vic and everything here is distinctly theatre. Picture a restaurant designed exclusively by Fleabag’s eccentric step-mum and you’re on your way to understanding a space with colourful nick-nacks everywhere, huge draped curtains, and hand-painted art on the tables. You’ll find seasonal sharing plates like miso glazed tuna carpaccio, tomato ragu with crispy halloumi, and blowtorched mackerel on the menu - yes, blowtorched, for drama darling, drama.The service here is on the horizontal side of laidback, but their excellent botanical cocktails and curried scallops make any waiting worthwhile." - Heidi Lauth Beasley
