Café Jalu - Review - Financial District - New York - The Infatuation

"Think of Café Jalu as the Auntie Anne’s of Printemps. It’s right at the entrance of the fancy French department store in FiDi, and open all day for whenever your blood sugar plummets after staring at beautiful things. The standard-issue coffee will get the job done, but the pastries might make you a repeat customer. They’re all made on-site and most hover around $6—a steal after you’ve come face-to-face with a ruffly red blouse that costs $2,000. Grab a crisp-on-the-outside, gooey-on-the-inside chocolate chip cookie, and a pain au goyave with coconut cream and guava jam before you continue shopping. (Or, well, window-shopping.)" - Willa Moore
