Jip - Review - 11th Arr. - Paris - The Infatuation

"The beloved Korean chef behind popular pop-up gigs in the city has finally landed his first solo restaurant in the 11th arrondissement. At Jip (home, in Korean), you’ll find a generous three-course menu for only €35, half of which is vegetarian. Fewer than eight people can fit at the marble counter, and only a handful more at tightly packed tables. But everyone can watch the chef turn out dishes like fish sashimi on radicchio leaves with a fermented plum gochujang sauce, dumplings filled with mushroom duxelle and sweet potato, and jjajangmyeon noodles, sweet and nutty with beef and anchovied spinach. Skip the single dessert on the menu (usually something fruity at an extra €8) and order a noodle “refill” or another glass of natural wine." - Lindsey Tramuta
