"Haap is a dessert shop worth planning your afternoon around. Everything here is simple in a good way, like soft tteok dusted with roasted bean powder or chestnut, and tiny jujube or white-bean bites that are sweet but not too sugary. The drinks match, like nutty burdock or bright yuja, but the baesuk is what everyone talks about. Made from simmered Asian pear with honey, ginger, cinnamon, and jujube, it gently resets your palate. We like the Wonseo location for its 15,000 KRW tea set, which is a great way to try a little of everything, including hangwa confections and a cake of the day." - Eileen Cho
