"We have a soft spot for lazy lunches, especially when the afternoon sunlight hits just right. Casavant may just be our preferred spot on Fridays and Saturdays when they’re open for lunch, but it’s equally wonderful for dinner, which they do seven days a week until late. Wines at this importer-owned bistro lean towards French regions, followed by Italian, with loads of options from Québec and Europe. Oysters and the house cheeseburger are great lunch picks, and at dinnertime, it’s got to be their hearty sausage on a bed of smooth potato purée. In between bites, look up at the ceiling inside to see one of the most fun murals in town. Summertime is lovely here, when the street turns pedestrian only." - ivy lerner frank
