Bagel Frena - Review - Vieux Lachine - Montreal - The Infatuation

"Long, oval, seriously sesame Jerusalem bagels are the specialty at Bagel Frena, an inviting café/bakery two blocks away from the shores of the St-Lawrence in Vieux Lachine. These always-fresh, doughy vegan loops are some of the best in town, rivaling Mile End shops for their flavor and texture. Bagel Frena’s thick and fluffy pita, cheese-stuffed sambousak (labneh and halloumi, among others) travel well to nearby parks, or you can settle in with a schnitzel sandwich and a book, or play a game of chess. Get some dips, too—the spiced labneh, baba ganoush, and hummus with paprika are all winners in our book." - Ivy Lerner-Frank
