And with its massive fried appetizer platter, 1492 Cuban Fusion Cafe in Humboldt Park is a great spot to show up with a few friends and a six-pack. The loaded plate comes with plantains, stuffed potato balls, croquettes, and three types of empanadas. Their Cubano or ropa vieja with savory yellow rice are both fantastic, and make sure to grab a guava and cheese pastelito.
