"People like to compare this Upper East Side market to LA’s Erewhon, and we sort of get it. It feels a little more like a quaint, family-run gourmet market than the Hailey Bieber smoothie seller does, but NYC’s ginger juice enthusiasts need somewhere to go, and Butterfield, with two locations in the area, has become upper Manhattan’s top choice. It checks a lot of boxes: There’s expensive tuna, an exceptionally pristine hot bar, and people who do their full weekly shop here as if the cost of lettuce isn’t four times the price as it is at a regular grocery store. They also have some very notable frozen yogurt, which tastes more like soft serve. If there's a line outside at the frozen yogurt takeout window—and there probably will be—head inside and order there, because nobody seems to have realized you're allowed to do that." - Willa Moore
