Mix'd Up Burgers - Review - Grant Park - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"You’ll be standing elbow-to-elbow inside this small Grant Park burger shack that barely has enough room for the order counter. Or, just hit Mix'd Up's drive-thru, which should be your first option whenever you need a burger and fry combo that’s way better (and more bespoke) than conventional fast food joints. Straitlaced types can get a standard beef burger with the usual toppings (lettuce, tomato, onion, and cheese), but you should really try one of the jazzed up options, like the Texan (topped with tender pulled pork, salty bacon, BBQ sauce, and a mound of tangy chipotle ranch slaw). Sure, there are better burger spots elsewhere in the city. But these meaty beauties are good enough for an on-the-go option—and their burger and fries are as customizable as paper dolls. Want your fries with crawfish and chili? Or what about subbing your beef patty for lamb and drenching it in tzatziki? If you need time to decide, maybe you do head inside to avoid backing up the drive-thru line. Food Rundown Mix’D Up Burger This classic burger hits the spot when you want something traditional—an 8-ounce angus beef patty sitting on a toasted brioche bun with melty american cheese, lettuce, tomato, and onion. But you can play it safe anywhere else, order something with character, like the Rockin’ Hero. Rockin’ Hero Get this. It’s a thick lamb burger doused in creamy tzatziki and topped with lettuce, tomato, and a bunch of tangy feta. Plus, it’s also the lightest we’ve felt after consuming a burger. Philly One of the few non-burger items on the small menu, the philly is a solid cheesesteak when you aren’t in the mood for a burger (we don’t know when that would be, but you do you). It’s nothing spectacular (it has peppers, onions, and gooey cheese), so we prefer the burgers. Fries Thin house-cut fries can be topped with everything from pulled pork to queso. But they’re well-seasoned enough that even with no toppings the fries are a hit." - Juli Horsford
