"This family-owned Colombian cafe in Greenpoint makes strong, smooth coffee and great baked goods. There are only a limited number of brightly colored stools inside the coffee shop, which is too bad, because it’s a lovely place to linger. The walls and ceilings are decorated with burlap coffee sacks, the big windows facing McGuinness Boulevard let in lots of sun, and there are more plants per square foot here than there are in some city parks. Stop by for a snack if you’re in the area, and keep in mind Pueblo Querido has two more locations in the neighborhood, plus another in Williamsburg. Their pastry case has no misses, but highlights include the springy, cheesy pandebono, the empanadas with satisfyingly crispy-crunchy corn crusts, and the sweet and moist arepas. Apply their tart green hot sauce liberally. photo credit: Molly Fitzpatrick photo credit: Molly Fitzpatrick photo credit: Molly Fitzpatrick" - Molly Fitzpatrick
