"From May 16th through 23rd, Pop Off LA is creating a special food event that centers LA’s rich AAPI community restaurants and chefs. According to their website, it’s “not a festival,” but rather an event where chefs across the city collaborate on one-of-a-kind, limited-edition dishes. On their opening day, Secret Lasagna will be teaming up with Anajak Thai to create a chicken kraprao lasagna, made with red sauce and Thai basil pesto, and Bridgetown Roti will be partnering with Rice Box to serve okra callaloo with fried soft shell crab and porchetta. Even though it’s not happening this weekend, each dish/collaboration will be available only on the date(s) listed, and needs to be preordered. Head to their website for more information." - kat hong
