"[Editor's Note] Cholada Thai was destroyed during the January 2025 LA wildfires and forced to close. We’ll update this page with any potential reopening plans as we learn more. As you drive out to Malibu, one of the first things you notice (or completely miss) on PCH is a tiny little blue shack that looks like a bait shop abandoned in a previous decade. That’s Cholada, and it’s home to the best Thai food you'll find anywhere this close to the beach. In an area largely dominated by musty seafood restaurants and overpriced chains catering to wandering tourists, Cholada is a total original and a perfect stop for a solid plate of pad see ew after a day in the sand." - Brant Cox
