"Road trip snacks don’t get more convenient than the ones at this Shell station right by the on-ramps to I-5. While topping off your tank, you can get a four-piece chicken meal with a soda for $10.85. The chicken is juicy—though, if you have time, ask when a fresh batch is coming, since the pieces get soggy under the heat lamp if left for too long. A more reliable option is their tidy crispitos, with flaky edges and a creamy filling—it’s the ideal food to fill up on right before braving the snail-like weekend getaway traffic. Food Rundown Fried Chicken The meat is tasty, but the breading could use some more seasoning. Chicken Crispitos These are our favorite snacks from the deli, particularly the buffalo version which delivers just enough kick to let you know spice is there, and without needing an oversized slushie to cool off. Barbecue Burrito The outer casing is fried to a crisp and the inside is piping hot, we just wish the sauce was a notch less sweet. Jojos These come with some of the meal deals, but we wouldn't get these limp wedges otherwise. Stick to the deli’s non-potato bites." - Gabe Guarente
