Leo's Taco Truck - Review - Sunset - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"A trip to Leo’s is about al pastor. It’s easily the best thing from this LA taco truck transplant on the Great Highway, the only place outside of SoCal where you can experience their famed flame-roasted meats. Every thin slice carved from the spit is crisp-edged and at its best inside of a taco, complete with a hunk of pineapple. Even the staunchest Sunset Dunes adversaries should get here for a plate (or four). Other hits to zero in on: the California burrito stuffed with a generous handful of fries, and the alambre hawaiano with charred onions and pineapple. Walk your order a few hundred feet to the Pacific, and breathe in the sweet, sweet smells of West Coast supremacy. Just know that the hours are inconsistent, so follow along on Instagram for updates. video credit: Julia Chen photo credit: Monica Lo photo credit: Monica Lo Pause Unmute Food Rundown Al Pastor Tacos The holy grail. A trip here doesn’t count without at least one plate (three tacos) of these. photo credit: Monica Lo California Burrito This fry-filled burrito is a massive specimen that could last for at least two meals. Best ordered with al pastor (obviously), post-OB bonfire, at 10pm. photo credit: Monica Lo Alambre Hawaiano One of the best dishes on the menu. It’s huge and served with a foil-wrapped pack of tortillas, so you can DIY a few more tacos. PlayMute video credit: Julia Chen Quesadilla Basic, yes, but extremely satisfying. Slather on the crema. Carne Asada A little dry. But by this point you should know that you’re not at Leo’s for the carne asada." - Julia Chen
