Nectar Review - Upper East Side - New York - The Infatuation

"It’s only been open since 1988, but Nectar, a charming and uncommonly pricey diner on the Upper East Side, looks like it’s been around for at least a few centuries. Just a block from the steps of The Met, the old-timey space is decorated in washed out shades of cobalt blue and mustard yellow, with chipped tables, glass bottles of ketchup, and cake stands topped with shrink-wrapped pastries. The clientele mostly consists of neighborhood folks who’ve become sentimentally attached to the place, and the menu covers all your basics like eggs, salads, and a club sandwich stuffed with thick slices of roasted turkey. That club will run you around $27 (without a side of fries), and it won’t really taste like much, but if you add a little mayo, it’ll get the job done. " - Bryan Kim
