"Dae Bok Jung in Koreatown prepares monkfish in various delicious ways, (we don’t suggest googling monkfish beforehand because they’re not the prettiest). There’s a list of la carte dishes available, but we suggest first-timers or anyone on the hungry side go with their combo dinners. The $129 Combo A (which feeds two to three) starts light and fresh with a halibut sashimi platter before crispy fried monkfish nuggets that you dip in sticky sweet-sour sauce arrive. There are also delicately steamed monkfish filets under a blanket of spicy bean sprouts, monkfish soup with baby sea cucumbers that pop in your mouth, and fried rice made with the leftover broth. It’s a lot of monkfish to get through, so plan on bringing a few friends." - Sylvio Martins
