"Couples’ hangs at Bar Jabroni require a reservation, or you’ll end up playing Telephone in a row at the bar. But once you’re settled into a high top or corner nook, it’s easy to get into a casual conversation over a bottle of natural wine and a mish-mash of small plates from their rotating menu (get the spring onion pancake with whipped feta). And if your foursome wants to keep things going, head across the street to Stoa for a nightcap. Reservations for this cool wine bar are released two-and-half weeks out and they go quick. But the bar area is held exclusively for walk-ins. If you’re dead set on getting a table, come in around 9pm, order a glass of wine, and mingle with everyone else waiting for a spot." - julia chen 1
