"If you want Detroit-style that’s like a delicious history lesson—including what’s all the fuss about this pizza—get a pie from Fat Chris’s. This Andersonville spot uses the classic Detroit-style approach, including putting thick “racing stripes” of sweet tomato sauce on top, and cooking them in the same kind of factory pans that made this pizza an autoworker favorite decades ago. The bottom is crispy, the middle is doughy and garlicky, and the loaded toppings that don’t slide off make for an exciting overall chew. Every pie we’ve had here is excellent, but for Fat Chris’s mic drop, get The Goods.
