"Walking into Nowon, a New York-based Korean spot, you might think you stepped off the manicured Seaport sidewalk and back into the late 90s. Music videos by rap icons like The Notorious B.I.G. play on a projector over the kitchen, and tigers in tracksuits watch you from the walls. The star of the short menu is their famous dry-aged beef burger, an eight-ounce behemoth of a patty dripping with kimchi special sauce and loaded with American cheese, pickles, and onions. But don’t overlook the small plates, especially the chopped cheese rice cake. The chewy bites have a lacy crunch and are swaddled in a cheesy, meaty sauce that’s like bolognese but unbuttoned, chest hair out. Pickled jalapeños bring a vinegary pop. You can get the “extraordinary” tater tots two ways: curry-spiced, or, our choice, tossed in honey-butter, drizzled with labneh, and with shreds of nori on top. photo credit: Nowon photo credit: Nowon photo credit: Nowon photo credit: Nowon Pause Unmute You’ll see plenty of tech bros taking refuge here after a day in the Seaport’s code mines, washing down their post-work meals with a soju flight. But this is a meal worth traveling for, so come here with friends or a date or anyone looking for one of the best burgers in Boston." - Grace Kelly
