Dawa’s - Review - Sunnyside - New York - The Infatuation

"Dawa’s is a friendly neighborhood spot in Sunnyside with mismatched furniture, flowers on the tables, and a double-sided menu. One one side, you’ll find American things like a burger and some pan-seared duck, and on the other, you’ll see Himalayan dishes like momos, thenthuk, and Tibetan blood sausage. And that’s what you should be eating here. The ideal order is a plate of beef momos to start, followed by the lightly spicy lamb soup with chunks of radish. We also like the tender beef tongue mixed with bok choy that comes with a big, fluffy (and whole wheat) tingmo on the side. If you live in the neighborhood, make this one of your go-to spots for a casual weeknight meal." - Bryan Kim
