"Head to Whiskey Bird on the edge of Virginia-Highland and Morningside to enjoy a variety of different sauces and tasty grilled meats in skewer-sized portions that are perfect for groups. The yakitori-focused Asian fusion restaurant offers seven skewer options (get four for $16), but our favorites are the spicy chimichurri shrimp and tender octopus with sausage. A watercolor oasis of deep blues, purples, and greens splashed on the walls serves as a calming backdrop for chatty friends to meet for bao benedicts at brunch.
