Ophelia - Review - Coconut Grove - Miami - The Infatuation

"We understand it sounds like a spot where high schoolers hang out in the backseats of their cars, but this quiet parking lot on US1 in Coconut Grove is home to a tiny trailer filled with pastries as good as anything you’ll find in an actual bakery. Ophelia has breakfast sandwiches on housemade english muffins, olive oil cakes topped with cream and blueberries, and a coffee cinnamon roll that’s already in the running for the city’s best. The sweet pastries aren’t overly sweet, and the savory options aren’t too heavy. photo credit: Cleveland Jennings / @eatthecanvasllc Get there as close to 8am as you can if you don’t want to deal with lines and a cleaned-out display case (and know that they’re only open Thursday through Saturday). It’s not the most comfortable summer dining experience, but there are benches and tables under a big oak tree right next to the lot if you don’t want to eat in your backseat. Food Rundown Coffee Cinnamon Roll It’s everything you’d expect from a fantastic cinnamon roll (soft, gooey, warm). The little golden disc fits neatly in the palm of your hand and is the ideal balance of sturdy and soft. We tried all three, and the bacon, egg, and cheese came out on top.
