"This sushi spot in the Richmond is a lifesaver when you have limited time in between meetings, errands, or puppy school sessions, and need sustenance. Just order at the counter or online, and you’ll be on your way with loaded special rolls, nigiri, or donburi in hand. The rice is vinegary and plump, and the fish is the quality you’d expect from a great sit-down sushi spot in the city. While there are a few seats outside, this place is mostly a takeout operation open for both lunch and dinner. Food Rundown Dragon Roll The unagi at Oishinbo is consistently excellent—flaky with a sticky sauce that’s sweet without crossing over into candy territory. Ordering the dragon roll, or really, anything with eel in it, is always a good move. Bake Salmon Roll This foil-wrapped stunner arrives dripping with spicy mayo. Because more is more in the world of creamy baked rolls, it’s also well-stuffed with snow crab and avocado. Spicy Scallop Roll If you’re sticking with regular maki, this spicy scallop with crunchy cucumber sticks is a nice option. The flavor is mild, but still more interesting than some of the others on the menu." - Julia Chen
