"This Japanese spot in Maple Leaf serves teriyaki and milkshakes—a combination that seems meant to be. Himitsu succeeds at fried snacks like poppable gyoza and pork eggrolls, but the teriyaki leaves a lot to be desired. Their chicken is almost brittle from being pounded out too thin, the salad dressing has a melted butter-like oiliness that doesn’t coat the iceberg very well, and their homemade teriyaki sauce is gritty. The milkshakes, however, are better than some scoop shops in town, so if you’re in the neighborhood craving something sweet, frozen, and sippable, it’s your best option.
