"It’s not easy to find places to put people in New York City—as if the StreetEasy-sponsored battle royale that is looking for a new apartment hadn’t made that clear enough. But whether you’re planning a party or simply wrangling friends for spontaneous good-weather day drinking, the Long Island City location of Greats Of Craft is a very solid option for a group hang. The original Greats Of Craft is in Midtown, almost directly across the East River. The LIC tap room is much larger, a lofty two-floor space that opens as early as 7:30am (they also serve coffee and breakfast), but the biggest draw is the spacious rooftop bar—with stunning views of the Queensboro Bridge, it’s the definition of a crowd-pleaser. It will be virtually impossible for even your pickiest pal not to find something on the menu they can tolerate here, if not downright enjoy. The Greats Of Craft offers three dozen different beverages on tap, including a wide variety of interesting beers, ciders, and hard kombucha, as well as wine and cocktails. There’s also a small selection of classic bar food, including an ice cream sandwich they’ll stick a candle in for your birthday. photo credit: Michael Carnevale photo credit: Michael Carnevale photo credit: Michael Carnevale" - Molly Fitzpatrick
