"No matter the mood, you’ll find a version of Piqueo’s that fits your needs. The Bernal Heights Peruvian is good for a meditative lunch featuring plantain chips and tangy salmon ceviche swimming in leche de tigre. When the sun goes down, the place is just as optimal for scream-talking at your date over the sound of 2000s pop and a full dining room while eyeing the last yucca fry. In either case, you’ll get delicious renditions of Peruvian staples. We especially like the umami-smacked lomo saltado, the sugar-dusted baked empanadas, and a pork belly chaufa that should be automatically added to every order. Piqueo's doesn't offer lunch reservations (you wouldn't need one anyway), but weekday dinner reservations are usually easy to come by. And in case you're relegated to sitting in the shrub-encased parklet, there are blankets and heat lamps to keep you warm." - Patrick Wong
