"This sourdough bread institution is iconically SF as railing against driverless cars. So naturally Boudin is a tourist magnet, and the fact that it’s the city’s longest operating bakery is the draw. The flagship Fisherman’s Wharf location is in a warehouse-like space with a cafe, a coffee kiosk, and a marketplace full of Golden Gate Bridge-branded mugs and dish towels. Expect a loud, chaotic scene. Everyone’s here to snap photos of the bread loaves randomly shaped like bears, scorpions, and crabs, and eat clam chowder bread bowls—they’re surprisingly good considering you’re in the Times Square of SF. " - Lani Conway
