"Virginia-Highland has a few historic establishments that have withstood the test of time, like the century-old Atkins Park and the 1961-established George’s Bar and Restaurant. Moe’s and Joe’s is on that historic list too, opening its doors way back in 1947. The divey bar has gone through a few changes since then, but the best things have stayed consistent and affordable, and that’s why this place is worth a spot on your Atlanta punch card. Get the single patty Mojo burger (only $6), which has been on the menu since the beginning and is still a reliable snack after a night of drinking. And PBR-lovers still flock here for cheap pitchers and a claw machine game stocked with cans of their favorite beer as the reward. Food Rundown photo credit: Amy Sinclair Mojo Burger This isn't the best burger in the city, but it's only $6 and the perfect ending to an evening when you've taken down a few beer pitchers. It's just a a thin patty, lettuce, onion, tomato, mayo, and melty cheese all on a soft bun with fries on the side. Brisket Philly This didn't make our best cheesesteak guide because the brisket is a little tough. But after a night of drinking the decent-size sandwich will suffice. photo credit: Amy Sinclair PBR If you come to this bar, it's a rite of passage to order a PBR. Plus, they are only $2 on Wednesdays. Cheese Curds Not many places in Atlanta have cheese curds, so whenever it's on a menu, we order it. These are decent little fried bits of cheddar cheese. photo credit: Amy Sinclair photo credit: Amy Sinclair video credit: Amy Sinclair" - Juli Horsford
